Website development

At Lynx Graphic Design we’ve been creating websites since 1999, providing a wide range of clients with websites to meet their diverse needs. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, we have clients across the UK and beyond.
Whether you want a small, basic site or a large, complex one, we have the experience and expertise to help.

We are specialists in WordPress, the web’s most popular content management system, and also in the Genesis Framework, which enhances WordPress capability.
Off-the-peg WordPress themes have their place, but for clients looking for a website tailored to their individual needs we can develop highly customised admin systems as well as bespoke front-end designs.

It is increasingly important that websites work well on tablets and phones as well as computers. And Google now down-ranks sites which aren’t mobile friendly.
Our sites are planned and built with mobile-friendly and responsive design at their core, so they are touch-screen accessible and adapt to any screen size.
Up & running

We can register domain names and arrange affordable hosting for your website.
We can set up your site on our own hosting service or with another web host of your choice.

Many of our clients value the benefits WordPress brings in allowing them to easily update their site content, but don’t want to have to deal with keeping WordPress secure and up to date.
We offer managed hosting, keeping WordPress maintained and updated as part of your hosting plan.

If you already have a website and are looking for design improvements or additional functionality, we can help.
We can also do a health check on your site, searching for potential problems and possible improvements.
What’s the cost?

As our work is bespoke, we can’t provide a menu of prices, but most websites cost between £500 and £2,000, see some examples below.
Get in touch using the form at the foot of the page and we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements and provide a quote.

From time to time we have special offers, so check here for details of any discounts.
We give a discount of at least 9% to charities and voluntary groups for web development work.

We care passionately about the environment. Many of our clients are in the environment sector and we seek to minimise our own environmental impact.
Environmental measures we take include energy efficiency, renewable electricity, waste minimisation, recycling and using public transport.
