As with WordPress, this theme has been developed to work with all modern browsers, and older browsers that have at least 1% market share (https://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share).
Internet Explorer 11 (IE11), introduced in 2013, had a market share of 1.36% in June 2020.
As such, we have endeavoured to ensure that this theme will display well on IE11. However, as the browser doesn’t support many modern web standards, there are some minor display issues that cannot be fixed or could only be fixed at disproportionate development time or with a detrimental impact for other browsers.
Since August 2020, IE11 has dropped below 1% market share. Future development of the theme may no longer support the use of IE11 or earlier browsers.
A small amount of horizontal scrolling in some cases (content is slightly wider than the screen width due to scrollbar issues).
Pages with a small amount of content will not stretch to fill the full screen height, so there will be white space below the footer bar.
The Logos Block greyscale filter doesn’t make logos greyscale.
The sloping edge option in the Image Panel block will not display in IE11.
In some cases images are resized without maintaining the correct aspect ratio, so are stretched vertically or horizontally.
Images may not be selected at the optimum size, resulting in larger images than necessary being loaded, increasing bandwidth use. This is a general issue with WordPress and IE11.
