This block allows you to place posts from one or more categories into any Page or Post. You can select the number of posts to display and the number of columns (the actual number of columns will depend on screen width).
Tiles can be selected by date (newest or oldest first) or Title (A-Z or Z-A) and there is an offset option to miss out 1 or more of the Posts.
There are settings for the number of words in the excerpt (up to 55) and to hide any of the elements, eg, date.
The styling matches that for the category listing pages and the Tiles Grid block.
In this example, the block is set to display seven posts in three columns and with Grid Balance switched on. Two of the tiles automatically span two columns so there are no spaces in the final row.
Block with just one Post and set to one column
Posts block with offset of one, avoiding repeat of the above Post, and no space between tiles
Block with just one Post and set to one column, and no tile spacing
The difference between the above tile and the similar one two blocks up is fairly subtle. Both blocks have only one tile and set to one column. This triggers the left aligned image. The difference is that when set to no spacing, the image is slightly wider. This aligns it with the column width of the 3-column grid with no spacing.
